Krista is a Registered Psychotherapist who holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Degree from Yorkville University. She is a graduate of the University of Essex with a Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Studies (Freudian Concentration), and in 2016 attended Brock University for a Master’s Degree in Applied Disability Studies. She has 12 years of experiences in developmental services working with neurodivergent adults with co-existing mental health diagnoses and became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
Krista uses a client-centred approach to form a therapeutic relationship based on empathy and trust, through modalities that include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has experience assisting individuals and couples through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and identity, and is working towards certification as an ADHD Clinical Services Provider.
